Work continues from my home studio on the forthcoming BBC drama 'Bloodlands'. It's another chance to work for the brilliant award winning composer Ruth Barrett...
Actor James Nesbitt
I'm delighted - and lucky - to be working during lockdown on a number of recording projects. More news on the others to follow soon but in the meantime I'm over the moon to let you know I'm working again with the fantastic composer Ruth Barrett (The Bodyguard/Victoria/The Durrells, etc.) on a new BBC drama 'Bloodlands' starring James Nesbitt (pictured).
I had worked with award winner Ruth before on ITV's 'Sanditon' - a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding experience - and so I was delighted when Ruth asked me to add various guitars to the score of the new BBC drama. 'Bloodlands' comprises four one hour episodes and whilst we're still working away on music for episode four I can't say too much other than to say, once again, it's proving to be a great experience and opportunity to learn from Ruth AND between us...the music is sounding epic.
I expect BBC will launch publicity soon to announce the series - the rumour mill suggest it will appear on BBC One late Summer/Autumn 2020 - but I'm very much enjoying adding guitars to the fantastic compositions and very lucky, during these uncertain times for the creative arts, to have a creative outlet and some much needed income so a huge thanks to Ruth for having me be part of the project.
